This Doodle is called War on Bruce Springsteen. The guy does nothing for me, his full of the American way, in the wrong way. No bark that register’s with my ear drums like a lot of middle of the road music they call Rock. Maybe other people are hearing it on a different frequency….
A2 ib a Sketchpad took about 1 Hour I was watching come fly with me for lite relief.

The first Doodle I first shared on here about 6 weeks or so ago when I started doing Art for Arts Sake. Still my favorite, abstract, simple and colorful.
Listening to Sonic Youth Rather Ripped, brilliant album.

RP and running Having dealt with the issues surrounding RP from my early childhood to the present day was a difficult journey at first. When first diagnosed I wasn’t sure what the future would hold, what would I be capable of? What would I be able to see by the time I was 30? I seemed to have many questions and no idea how to manage the answers. As I grew older I became more comfortable with my impending sight loss and carried on with my life. I drifted through college and found my way into a career in IT. After 10 years of career advancement I found myself in the unfortunate position of being made redundant. This gave me a great opportunity to assess my direction in life.
I decided it was time to truly test what I was capable of. I embarked on a new career and returned to college to gain the relevant qualification to attend university. I attended a regular college rather than a college that was targeted at the visually impaired. I believed it was important for me to adapt as well as the college in order to achieve personal goals. Around the same time I started college I wanted to challenge myself physically. The biggest issue I had been having over the past few months was with my mobility. Moving around unaided had become incredibly difficult. So I wanted to find something that would challenge my mobility and push me mentally and physically. I decided to start running, unable to afford a gym membership or a treadmill I only had one option: run outside. This was made slightly more complicated by the fact I didn’t have a guide runner. So despite being registered blind for over a decade I thought I would give running alone a try.
I started by running on a football pitch; I would position myself between the goal posts and run to the other side of the pitch. I tracked my position using audio based GPS and ran up and down the field. This proved very limiting and hazardous, so I thought I could translate the skills I had learnt on the fields to the road. I found myself a closed road and began to run up and down the road. Using audio GPS it was easy to track my location and pacing so began to build up the miles. After mastering the techniques I explored the local roads and began the transition to running on the open road alone. After memorizing a 2-mile route through the feel underfoot, audio GPS signals and using my ability to pick out certain visual elements such as a bus stop,
I wanted to set myself a challenge.
I decided to train to run at the ultra distance, which is any distance above and beyond 26 miles. For my first race I chose to run a 100-mile hilly route in the Cotswolds. I aimed for 100 miles but only completed 83. I ran till I couldn’t stand and with non-functioning legs I was carried off the course. Since then I have completed other races including ultras and still continue to train outdoors alone. Through running I was able to redefine my mental and physical limits.
I achieved something people perceived impossible. When I thought about losing my vision as a child I never believed once blind I would learn to run alone and compete in one of the hardest running disciplines. Not only do I run at the ultra distance I compete against sighted people and beat them. Proving to myself and hopefully others that, a disability does not define what we can do. Those limits are still determined by what we believe we can do. - Simon Wheatcroft www.andadapt.com/ http://www.franksdailydoodle.blogspot.com
Idoru Image created by Frank Allen on Flickr.
Cyber Punk Image I created years back. Photocopier and transparency’s…
Totally Abstract This one Took an Hour as usual I just drew lines and this is what came out. No intentions until the lines show me the art.
I’d say this is the first Doodle that made me think maybe these doodles might even be Art to someone.
All the Doodles are done Abstractly without me intentionally adding any lines until they begin to form into shapes with a life of there own.

I think these post are getting Latter and Latter. Today is a Momentous Day got my first ever piece of Art in a shop. My Local book shop in Biggleswade Suzie’s. They have room allocated for more so I’m on to mounting them pronto.
So weird I only started doing Abstract Art for just Art sake, not some Graphic Design rubbish Course four Weeks back and I feel a lot has change. I’ve found a way to chill out and Let go with the prospect of something useful at the end. All the skills for finishing and mounting, scanning, like they have at last came together for a unplanned purpose.

The Music Heres a Video of a cool tune from the Insane Alex Harvey. He used to be a teem Idol and he became a Rock and Roll Ledgend.
This Doodle was done on A3 card and I coloured it with my new set of Pro Markers, not quite as warm as my other markers but really cool colours nevertheless.

I’m really fond of todays Doodle had the usual inner debate over which way up tp turn it.
Been listening to The Perfumed Garden’ the last John Peel show on Radio London before it was taken off the air. Got to say the more Early TRex I heard the more I like it, essentially Marc Bolan is simply playing the Blues, extremely whimsical blues, but the real stuff never the less. Please comment, discuss it makes my Day, Enjoy the Doodle.

Here goes the first Scheduled Post.
Firstly some good news about the Artist. My surgery was delayed but i had t go see the Surgeon to get some bad news. The Surgery is delayed and I need a new Scan. This is horrible, If it goes just a week longer it means being off work for more that 8 months, and bang goes my job. But the good news, the doctor said I should phone to offer to take a cancellation for the scan, take anything. I was parallelized with fear at the prospect of phoning, any making of phone calls cause me anxiety. But I plunged ahead after a whole day of worry. I got in tonight which was totally unexpected, I’d highly recommend trying that if your going in to surgery and you need a scan first and your worried about the length of time your been off work. The Doodle is called Animal Crackers, Marker Pens on A2 Paper. Took about one and a half hours to do, double that to scan the monster. You get a Scanned in Doodle today instead of a photo. I’m going to try predating my post so they go Automatically up. I’m going to try 8.30 New York time first, to just catch those people about to start work Idling on there computers. Bloggers What do you think s the best time to post and what do you make of the Doodle? Frank Allen 14th December 2011 The Doodle is called Animal Crackers, Marker Pens on A2 Paper. Just drew this about an hour ago, Transformers 3 was on my dad and sister where watching it, I just drew through most of it not paying any attention. A3 Marker pens.
So its been a month, I thought i would struggle but Ive actually got material coming out of my ears. I made a video of all the ones to post and scan and it should last a while but I’ll keep doing fresh ones like todays. I Apologise for the blurriness.
